Who is common rapper dating
I don't get why people see Common as less for this. He even says that everyone has their own views, Common has his own.
I know everyone is all about bi-racial relationships and just love whoever you want to but if Common doesn't like it, that's on him.
There's nothing wrong with being either, but I do think that a lot of times, afrocentricity gets in the way of progressive views.
That being said, Common does make it known that his views are only his and they don't represent the views of others.
She dated Common from 2000 to 2002, around the same time, the Chicago rapper’s eclectic style began to show on his albums, … she called me and was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in this relationship no more. “That was my first love and my first heartbreak.” Badu, who dated and had her first child with Outkast’s Andre 3000 before Common, went on to have a second child with rapper the D. Despite the way things ended, Common says the former couple are good friends today.
For someone who has been a proponent of women's rights, he sure sounds racist in saying this.He also discusses his relationship with tennis superstar Serena Williams.“We’re just friends now,” Common admitted, after he and Serena called it quits earlier this year.Don't see what's wrong with him saying that black women are consistently disempowered, and giving beauty by white standards priority isn't doing anything to help that. I'm not sure I understand why everyone is so upset with Common. To start with this is from 7-8 years ago and who knows what his thoughts are now.
It's really more big picture here that Common gets at with how negatively Black Women are viewed.
